Courteney Cox fears she’s wrecked relationship with Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid by pressuring him to wed

Courteney Cox is relying on close pal Jennifer Aniston for support amid her rumoured split from Northern Irish musician Johnny McDaid.

It is believed that Courteney and her Snow Patrol fiancé called time on their engagement at the end of November, 18 months after proposed to her.

Neither McDaid or Cox has confirmed the break-up, but those close to Courteney say she is leaning on her best friend Jennifer Aniston for support.

"Courteney and Johnny had been rowing for months - mainly over his constant stalling over their wedding," a source told Closer magazine, adding that Courteney asked him to move out of their Malibu home.

"Jen's telling Courteney to be patient and has drawn on her own experience with Justin after waiting three years to wed following their engagement.

"She knows how much Courteney loves Johnny and worries she's let the pressure of a wedding ruin what they have. She's urging her not to give up on him - even if they need therapy to work through some of their issues."

Jennifer and Justin got engaged in August 2012 and began dating the year before. They tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in August 2015. It's been a whirlwind romance for Courteney and Johnny, who were introduced by mutual friend Ed Sheeran in late 2013 and got engaged in June 2014.

Courteney - who has daughter Coco, 11, with ex-husband David Arquette - triggered rumours about her love life in February, when she was photographed looking distressed while out with friends. Earlier this month the brunette actress was spotted out without her engagement ring, and she's said to be losing hope in her relationship.

"She's totally heartbroken and while she appreciates Jen's point, she isn't sure if their relationship is salvageable," an insider added to Closer.
