Cowell wants Cole back on X Factor?
Simon Cowell has dropped another hint that Cheryl Cole will be back on the X Factor judging panel.
The Fight For This Love singer was on the ITV singing show from 2008 until 2010 and there have recently been rumours that she will return.
Simon has now fuelled the speculation by revealing he wants to "find a way" to work with her again, reported the Daily Mirror.
He said on LBC 97.3: "She was a really, really good judge. I mean, she took what she did seriously. She used to phone me almost every night - one, two, three o'clock in the morning, talking about songs and what she should be doing.
"That's the kind of judge you want to be working with on these shows, because they really care."
He added: "I hope we're going to get the chance to work together.
"We have to find a way because we had a lot of fun."
Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh have already announced they are leaving the show.
Last month Cheryl won an undisclosed payout from X Factor USA after she was dropped from the programme. The Girls Aloud singer was hired as a judge for the American version of the series in 2011 but was axed soon after getting the job, apparently over fears the audience wouldn't understand her Newcastle accent.
She sued producers Blue Orbit for loss of earnings and the case was reportedly settled out of court, with the production company paying the star an undisclosed sum.
