Daniel O'Donnell to hold fundraising concert for flood victims

Irish country music icon Daniel O'Donnell will headline a list of his fellow stars this weekend in a bid to provide financial assistance to those affected by the devastating floods that struck the North West last week.

The star has pledged to help the people of the Inishowen peninsula whose homes and businesses were destroyed when 63% of the normal rainfall expected in August fell in around just nine hours. Hundreds across Daniel O’Donnell’s native Donegal, as well as Tyrone and Londonderry, were displaced from their homes.

O’Donnell, currently on a sell-out Irish tour, organised ‘Flood Aid for Inishowen’ which will also feature Nathan Carter, Declan Nearney, Johnny Brady as well as Dominic and Barry Kirwan.

The event will take place this Sunday, September 3, at the Aura Centre in Letterkenny. Tickets, priced at €30 each, are available from the venue and Ticketmaster.
