Danny Dyer's 'marriage under strain after affair allegations'

The soap star's marriage to Joanne Mas is reportedly under pressure after just ten months.

Danny Dyer's wife Joanne Mas was reportedly left "humiliated" by a report he had a six-week affair with Sarah Harding and the star is now battling to save his marriage.

The actor has allegedly been living in a hotel in Hertfordshire while he films BBC soap EastEnders, despite living just 19 miles away from the set, after his wife of 10 months "sent him packing" from their home, reports The Sun.

According to editors at the publication, Danny, who plays Mick Carter in the long running BBC soap, had a six-week fling with Sarah when the pair filmed the 2012 flick Run for Your Wife together. It is claimed the former Girls Aloud star was unaware that Dyer had a long-term partner at the time.

Now friends of the couple have revealed to The Mirror that Joanne feels "humiliated" by the news and the couple's marriage is under "serious pressure".

"Jo has been left humiliated by the reports over the weekend of Danny's fling with Sarah," a source shared. "She is already unhappy with some of the crowd Danny is hanging round with again and things are not rosy between them.

"It is fair to say their marriage is under serious pressure again. Jo has forgiven a lot of things Danny does, but it can't go on forever.”

A representative for Danny has not yet responded to requests for comment.

Danny is continuing work on the TV soap and a BBC spokesperson confirmed to the paper: "He's filming as usual – nothing has changed. Sometimes, if cast members have an early or late call, they stay nearby."

The 39-year-old's alleged affair with Sarah happened as they played a married couple on set. Danny starred as John in the movie, a married man who lives a double life, but his secret is let out of the bag when he does something heroic.
