Dawson dancing with joy over baby
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ashley Taylor Dawson has become a father for the second time - ending a nailbiting wait.
The Hollyoaks actor was on tenterhooks last week as the due date was hours before he was due to make his live debut on the BBC1 dance contest.
But his partner Karen McKay this morning gave birth to a new addition to the family, who has been named Mason Mac Taylor Dawson.
He announced the news online with a message on Twitter and thanked fans for their support.
Ashley said: "My hero Karen McKay gave birth to our 2nd little dream Mason Mac Taylor Dawson this morning. Thanks for all the support. We are thrilled."
The TV hunk is expected to go straight back to training, teaming up with his professional dance partner Ola Jordan tomorrow.
Last month he teased that he might have to miss the birth if Karen went into labour around the time of his live debut.
He and the other 14 celebrities will be dancing again on Saturday night, with the first contestant due to leave the show this weekend. He and Jordan were midway up the leaderboard after their first dance.
