Def Leppard's Vivian Campbell receives legend award in Belfast

Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has been hailed as a music legend at a Northern Ireland awards ceremony.

Belfast-born Campbell is one of the leading names in rock from the province.

His story is one of global success that began with Sweet Savage, a band considered to be one of the most influential of the New Wave of British Metal. He has also performed with Dio, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake and Riverdogs.

The Oh Yeah Legend Award was presented to Vivian by Stuart Fleming from PRS for Music at a special event on Saturday at Belfast's Mandela Hall.

Joshua Burnside, who was the winner of the Northern Ireland Music Prize 2017

Singer-songwriter Joshua Burnside was the winner of the Northern Ireland Music Prize 2017.

He was presented with the best release award for debut album Ephrata.
