Dell'Olio in Strictly dress mystery
Strictly Come Dancing bosses are investigating after Nancy Dell'Olio's dress was apparently damaged just before Saturday's show, according to reports.
The Italian lawyer's mint green ballgown had to be rapidly dried and tacked up after it was discovered soaked, with the hemline ripped, just before the show, the Daily Mirror said.
A studio insider was quoted as saying: "The dress was hanging with all the others on the communal rail outside the dressing room area.
"After having her make-up done Nancy went to collect it and saw it had had water chucked all over it. It was drenched. Also the hem had been altered, it was fraying... it was pretty strange."
The source added: "Nancy would hate to think anyone deliberately sabotaged her costume."
The "shaken" 50-year-old went out on to the dancefloor and scored just 12 points out of 40, after tripping over her feather boa, during her performance with Anton Du Beke.
