Dublin heads for TV property show
Former Premier League striker Dion Dublin is swapping punditry for property and joining daytime show Homes Under The Hammer as a presenter
The footballer, who counts Manchester United, Norwich City and Coventry among his former clubs, is joining the presenting team of Martin Roberts and Lucy Alexander on the 19th series of the BBC One show.
He said: "I am thrilled to be joining Martin and Lucy on Homes Under The Hammer. I have a passion for property and look forward to meeting people on the show who share that passion."
Dublin, who has made regular appearances on Sky Sports and Match Of The Day 2, invented and marketed his own percussion instrument - called The Dube - after finishing his footballing career.
Homes Under The Hammer, which follows would-be developers aiming to turn a profit on auctioned-off properties, is a staple of the BBC's daytime schedule.
The a cting controller of BBC Daytime, Jo Street, said: "I am thrilled that Dion Dublin is joining the Homes Under The Hammer line-up. He shares Martin and Lucy's passion for properties and people and his warm personality make him the perfect addition to the family."
