Duo battle it out in jungle trial

TV presenter Alison Hammond and model Kayla Collins will battle it out to see who stays in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!

The pair were revealed to have received the fewest public votes and as a result will have to take part in a special eviction bushtucker trial. The loser will have to exit a camp that has become increasingly fractious in recent days.

Feelings boiled over in the jungle when a cold water task saw two contestants exchange verbal blows. Nutritionist Gillian McKeith screamed and complained as she took part in the Celebrity Chest Challenge, which involved retrieving keys from a freezing pool of water. It was more than singer Shaun Ryder could take, and he swore at her as he endured the cold temperature himself.

Gillian countered that it was "disgusting" the way he spoke to people, prompting the Happy Mondays frontman to retort: "You say the nasty things all the time ... your tone, everything. The way you speak to everyone."

After the confrontation, Shaun admitted that his mouth had been "horrible", but added: "She's just rude and she's said some rude things to the girls. It's all right for her to say things, put people down or talk to them like s***, which she does. Yet you give it to her and she can't take it."

Gillian later confided to Jenny Eclair that the argument had come at a bad time.

She said: "Getting your period, him swearing at me, it was all too much. I'm missing my children, I'm not a jungle person. I've done trials one after the other. I have never said I don't like him, I don't understand him and I don't like the swearing to that level. I don't even understand what he's trying to say."

Meanwhile comedian Dom Joly and X Factor finalist Stacey Solomon continued their secret mission in the jungle. The pair were tasked to put the camp fire out, tell other celebrities that they had seen a large animal in the bushes and call three campmates by the wrong name, until they were corrected.

To help them in the task, Dom and Stacey enlisted the help of Jenny. The trio completed the task with aplomb. Dom came running back to the camp announcing that he had seen a hyena-type creature by the river.

For the daily task, Aggro Santos bravely volunteered himself for the Creep Crawley trial. The singer managed to pick up three stars as he cracked open eggs in a confined space inhabited by insects and vermin.
