Eamonn Holmes 'so proud of Ruth but she won't win Strictly'
Eamonn Holmes has said he couldn't be more proud of his presenter wife Ruth Langsford as she lives her dream on Strictly Come Dancing - despite saying she has no chance of winning.
"She's not going to win it, absolutely not, so save your money folks," the Belfast-born broadcaster told BBC Radio Ulster yesterday. "But you know what, it's a great thing that programme means so much to people."
Last week, Langsford joked she would be making her husband "green with envy" by getting up close and personal with the show's professional dancers. Mr Holmes said he was relieved his wife was paired in the end with professional dancer Anton du Beke.
"She was absolutely delighted, you saw it on her face last night. She thinks Anton is a really nice guy, very experienced and he's never won before and he's not going to win this year."
