This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes was forced to apologise to viewers after TV star Paddy Doherty swore during a live interview yesterday.
Holmes said: "I just want to say that something may have slipped out from Paddy. We'd like to say sorry in case you were offended by anything that was said that shouldn't have been said."
Doherty, who was in My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and won Celebrity Big Brother in 2011, appeared on the show to discuss his eight-year-old granddaughter Margaret's wish to leave school.
Discussing his "poor" education, the 57-year-old Irish Traveller revealed he was bullied because of his heritage. He added: "We were nothing, like muck on a shoe. I'd just go sign in and f****** sit in a corner."
Doherty, who apologised for his language, is a prominent figure in his community, which will be under the spotlight in a new Channel 5 series investigating childhood in Gypsy and Traveller families.
