Rupert Everett has revealed he is finding Pygmalion co-star Kara Tointon to be a very hard worker, compared to himself.
The self-confessed "lazy" My Best Friend's Wedding star is playing Professor Higgins opposite Kara as Eliza Doolittle and they have already begun rehearsing the popular George Bernard Shaw play for when it opens at London's Garrick Theatre in May.
Rupert revealed at the Olivier Awards: "I think she's a very good actress and she's a real worker, which coming from a very lazy person it's very impressive and she really works hard."
He added: "She's great, I think she's fantastic. She's brilliant, I'm full of admiration for her. Plus she's beautiful as well."
Asked what he thought of the former EastEnders star's winning performance on Strictly Come Dancing he said: "I loved it."
Kara will be making her West End debut, her first major acting role since she left EastEnders in 2009.
Rupert said of choosing her for the role: "It was an ingenious idea of our producers."
