Ex-BBC man Andy faces the chop from Big Brother house
Just days after entering the Big Brother house, contestant Andy West is already up for eviction.
The gay former BBC NI reporter, who was suspended over the Tyson Fury furore, was nominated for eviction by housemate Alex Cannon.
However, the rules mean that, at worst, he will be exiled to a second house tasked with sabotaging the main housemates.
While West is up for eviction, a poll by website Digital Spy rated him as the public's favourite housemate with 565 votes.
Despite the great fanfare surrounding the reality TV show's opening night, ratings have plummeted to an all-time low of just 1.5 million, leading to calls for it to be axed by Channel 5.
West was suspended from his job at BBC NI after publicly objecting to the inclusion of Tyson Fury on the Sports Personality of the Year shortlist following controversial comments the boxer made about homosexuality. West later left the broadcaster.
