Ex-Corrie star hangs up his skates
Steven Arnold has bowed out of this year's Dancing On Ice competition, after admitting he is "not a natural skater".
The former Coronation Street actor took to the ice for a second time in the skate-off against cricketer Dominic Cork.
Both ended up in the bottom two after the viewer votes and judges' scores were combined.
Judges Jason Gardiner, Robin Cousins and former Spice Girl Emma Bunton all opted to save Dominic after a cleaner performance.
Thanking his partner Nina Ulanova, Steven said: "I'm not a natural skater, but I put my heart and soul into this. Nina for the last three months has been like a big sister to me and I want to say thank you so much."
Arnold received a critical mauling from the judges and the lowest score of the night for his stilted attempts on the ice.
Head judge Robin declared it "enjoyable for all the wrong reasons," while Jason said: "You're a natural disaster," and queried his commitment after Steven revealed he had overslept and missed a crucial choreography rehearsal early in the week.
Dominic came back from a fall during rehearsal, but only scored 11.5 with his partner Alexandra Schauman for his routine to Robbie Williams' Feel.
Jason declared his performance "stiff" and rigid", adding it contained no showmanship or presentation.
In contrast, former EastEnders actor Sam Attwater topped the leader board on 25 points with a smooth, confident dance display. Robin declared his routine a "semi-final performance" as he and partner Brianne Delcourt executed a complicated "table top" lift.
