Expelled teenager stuns judges

A teenager who turned his life around after he was expelled from three schools and drank on the street stuns the X Factor judges on the show.

Bradley Johnson, 16, from Rainford, near Liverpool, tells the panel his parents split up and he became "confused" before performing a rendition of Ed Sheeran's hit The A Team.

He says: "When I was 12 years old I started getting involved with scallies and thugs and that's when I started getting in to trouble at school."

He continued: "I've been expelled from three schools. When I was 13, I got kicked out of my first school, when I was 14 I got kicked out of my second school.

"My mum and dad split up, I was confused. I was drinking on the streets, getting arrested by the police and it progressed from there."

He tells the judges: "It's all in my past and I've come here today to prove to the teachers who think I'm a bad lad that I've got something good."

The teenager cries after his performance as Tulisa Contostavlos says: "I love that song, and now I love it even more."

Gary Barlow adds: "Bradley it was unique, distinctive, full of personality, and I think you're going to be such a great part of this competition, I really do."

Bradley gets four yes votes from the judges.
