Frankie and Thom join Strictly tour

The Saturdays star Frankie Bridge and rugby hunk Thom Evans have become the first celebrities to sign up for the next Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour - to be hosted by Zoe Ball.

It Takes Two presenter Zoe, who impressed viewers when she stood in for Claudia Winkleman at the weekend, returns after hosting the tour in 2011.

Singer Frankie topped the Strictly leaderboard at the weekend with her Wicked-inspired Tango, while Thom got the boot in week five.

Frankie said: "My Strictly journey has only just begun and I'm loving every moment. I'm really excited to be a part of the 2015 tour. It will be a bit strange performing in arenas without my band mates, but I can't wait to see all the Strictly fans who have supported me throughout the TV series and get my dancing shoes on again."

Thom said: "It's sad to be out of the TV show as I don't think I got the chance to show my full potential, but I'm really excited to be invited to perform on the Strictly tour and can't wait to get back on the dance floor."

Zoe, who also came third in the 2005 series, said: "This year's TV series has been thrilling to watch so far... I'm really looking forward to seeing who else will be joining me on tour, as we visit arenas across the country."

More celebrities will be announced for the tour, directed by TV judge Craig Revel Horwood, which opens in Birmingham in January next year.
