Freema Agyeman lands SATC role
Freema Agyeman has landed a role in Sex And The City prequel series The Carrie Diaries.
The actress, who played Martha Jones in Doctor Who, will appear in the pilot episode for US channel CW.
The Sun reports her character is called Larissa and she is a "hip, cutting-edge editor and party girl" working at Interview magazine, where young Carrie (played by Anna Sophia Robb) works.
The series, which is being developed by Gossip Girl producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, is an adaptation of Candace Bushnell's 2010 book of the same name.
It will also star Stefania Owen as Carrie's younger sister, and Austin Butler as Carrie's love interest Sebastian.
