Gemma Collins: 'Strangers have offered to help me have a baby!'

Gemma Collins has urged other women to consider starting a family before it's too late.

Gemma Collins has been inundated with offers to help her have a baby after discovering her egg count is low.

The reality star was told on this week’s (beg03Apr17) episode of The Only Way is Essex that her fertility options are limited due to her egg count, but it seems she has plenty of support on hand.

Appearing on Thursday’s (06Apr17) episode of Loose Women, Gemma, 36, revealed that not only have pals reached out but so have complete strangers.

“When I broke down to my best friend she said, ‘I love you dearly, I'll give you one of my eggs.’ That made me feel more settled,” she smiled, adding guys have been appearing at her boutique in Brentwood, Essex, offering to help.

“Men are popping their heads through the door, saying, ‘Gem, do you want a baby?’ What are they thinking!”

Gemma, who had been dating her co-star James ‘Arg’ Argent on and off for several years and was engaged to car mechanic Rami Hawash, isn’t desperate to start a family with a partner though, insisting she’d happily have a baby on her own if she doesn’t meet her dream man.

The blonde star was previously pregnant but suffered a miscarriage several years ago, and it’s opened her eyes to other options out there.

“I would never rule out adoption, there's so much availability and people that can help you,” she added. “When I first got the news (of my low egg count) I was really scared. But I now think I will have a child of my own one day - I just don't know how yet.”

She also urged other women to consider starting a family sooner than later, as she feels she made a mistake in putting her career first and not thinking about her future. The sad news of her fertility problems comes after Gemma previously expressed her desire to freeze her eggs in a bid to have children in the future.
