George Clooney gushes about twins' differing personalities
George and Amal Clooney wanted to give their children "a break" when it came to choosing their names.
George Clooney's twins have entirely opposite personalities - son Alexander is like a "moose" while daughter Ella is "very elegant".
The Gravity star and wife Amal welcomed the bundles of joy back in June (17), and have since been working to balance their career with being parents.
Making his comeback onto the showbiz scene at the Venice Film Festival in Italy, George spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how he's enjoying his family and how the twins are already showing different traits, despite their young age.
"They start out with a personality right off the bat. (Alexander) is a thug already...He's a moose! Literally, he just sits and he eats," George told the outlet.
"He looks like he could bounce right now, some place in Hollywood," George's friend Matt Damon joked, with the father-of-two then adding, "Like, checking IDs on the way into the nursery."
But with Ella, George is thrilled that she's taken after her stunning human rights lawyer mother.
"(Ella)'s very elegant, and all eyes. She looks like Amal, thank God," he smiled.
When it comes to showbiz offspring names, Ella and Alexander are relatively normal compared to other monikers such as Gwyneth Paltrow's Apple or actor Jason Lee's son Pilot Inspektor. And George added he and Amal decided to err on the side of caution when it came to naming their tots.
"We figured these kids are going to be looked at a lot and watched and (have their) every move sort of judged, and we wanted them to at least have a break with the names," he explained. "So we looked for some sort of normal names. We didn't have any great inspiration. It wasn't Alexander the Great and Ella Fitzgerald."
