Glee bosses have announced that there will not be a spin-off show.
It was thought that a separate series might focus on Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer, whose characters are set to graduate.
However, speaking at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, Fox boss Kevin Reilly said it is not going to happen and that the characters would graduate, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
However, it seems the news won't necessarily be the end of the musical comedy's graduating class.
"There will not be a Glee spin-off... but [Ryan Murphy and his team have] an interesting idea that I think is going to give us something cool to dig into for next season," he said.
Reilly confirmed that Lea, who plays ambitious Rachel, would be back next season and was quoted by E Online as saying: "Creatively, we'd want everybody back. I've got to look at the contractual situation for all of those. And we will. I don't want to... get into details. I'm just trying to whet your appetite. But I think it's going to be a good thing for the show. It's cool. It's different."
