TV presenter Alison Hammond reckons joining the I'm A Celebrity camp will be a fast-track diet - and aims to lose a stone.
Alison - already a veteran of being shacked up with strangers on TV, after finding fame on Channel 4's Big Brother - will be seen joining the contestants in tonight's edition of the jungle show.
The presenter, now a regular on ITV1's This Morning, said: "It's not the best way to lose weight, but it would be great to lose a stone."
She added: "I've been on a diet for the last six weeks and I have already lost a stone and a half, so if I can lose some more pounds, that will be fantastic.
"I can't wait to be smaller and I really hope I will then be able to keep the weight off. Being in the jungle will give me time to think about why I do over-eat."
She will be seen joining the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! - screened tonight on ITV1 at 9pm - when she is discovered by two members of the camp during the "celebrity chest challenge".
Alison said she was also keen to help charity during her time on the show, which will aid Malaria No More.
She said: "I have just returned from Morocco where I was climbing the Atlas Mountains and heard that malaria was recently eliminated there. I hope that my time in the jungle will help other countries in Africa rid themselves of this devastating disease."
Alison is the third newcomer to join the camp. Jenny Eclair and Dom Joly have already made an entrance this week, in addition to the 10 contestants who started at the weekend.
Jenny also spoke about how the show would be an "extreme diet" - and help her get into her Christmas frocks.
