Paul Hollywood's chances of US success could be fading as his American version of Bake Off has failed to rise in the ratings.
His new show American Baking Competition has been a ratings flop and has left the possibility of a second series in the balance, said The Sun.
At its peak the contest, based on the Great British Bake Off format, pulled in just 5.8 million viewers.
During working on the show Paul, 46, split from his wife of 15 years Alexandra, 49, and got together with his 34-year-old co-presenter Marcela Valladolid.
Apparently Paul had been keen to return to the US in the autumn to film a second series, but Marcela's agent is still open to offers for other work and she has not yet committed to another American Baking Competition.
CBS, the network hosting the series, said no decision had been made yet about another run and a spokesperson added: "No one has been talking about the ratings."
