Huntington-Whiteley talks ambition

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has said she doesn't need a rich man.

The model, who is in a relationship with Expendables actor Jason Statham, and who previously dated French actor Olivier Martinez and Ronnie Woods' son Tyrone, told Elle UK that she was once asked by a model why she didn't have a rich husband.

"That's never been it for me. I'm an ambitious girl. I love to work, and it makes me feel good," she said.

"I like to make something of my own."

The Victoria's Secret model said she shunned diets for exercise.

"I tried to diet, and it never really worked out for me. And I was getting bad advice from all over and in the end I picked up exercise, and I started to enjoy that," she said.

Rosie, 27, said she had a strong work ethic and had made plans for her future career.

"I'm not very good at turning down work. You've got to make hay while the sun shines. Work is a massive priority in my life right now, because I know that, someday, it won't be."

She added: "I definitely have a better idea now of where I want to be in five and 10 years, and I think that's important. I don't believe anybody who is successful doesn't have a strategic plan.

"Sometimes I read interviews with girls and they're like, 'Oh, I just take it as it comes,' and I'm like, 'That's bulls**t!' Whether you're an entertainer or a model or an actress, it takes so much that there has to be a big picture."
