Stephen Ferris, AP McCoy, James Nesbitt and Dennis Taylor are among some of the names that will be competing at this year's Pro-Am at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation.

The four Northern Irishmen will be teeing it up at Ballyliffin on the Wednesday of Irish Open week for the annual pre-tournament competition.

There are a whole host of stars pencilled in for the event, which is a friendly precursor to the main event, with Jamie Dornan headlining the bill last year.

The actor doesn't compete this year, but there are still plenty of recognisable names on show at the Glashedy Links for the event.

Former Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given is among several former sporting greats named on the list, along with ex-Ireland rugby star Keith Wood.

Gaelic footballers Kieran Donaghy (Kerry) and Michael Murphy (Donegal) will also play, as do Derry City players Gerard Doherty and Rory Patterson.

Former Taoiseach Enda Kenny is also involved, as are Strictly Come Dancing star Anton du Beke and singers Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy.

“Ballyliffin is a great golf course. It’s always nice to be back home and play in front of the home crowd so I’m very much looking forward to playing the course while also having some fun at the Pro-Am before the tournament kicks off,” said Rory McIlroy.

Irish Open week runs from July 2-8, and tickets are still available for Tuesday's practice day, Wednesday's Pro-Am and all four days of the event at
