Jamie Lee Curtis blasts Donald Trump for lewd Lindsay Lohan comments
The actress was appalled by the presidential hopeful's 2004 radio remarks about her Freaky Friday co-star.
Jamie Lee Curtis has blasted U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump for lewd comments he made about her Freaky Friday co-star Lindsay Lohan in a 2004 radio chat.
The embattled businessman talked about the then-18-year-old's freckled breasts and imagined what she'd be like in bed during an interview with shock jock Howard Stern, which was unearthed by CNN researchers this week (beg10Oct16).
In the interview, Trump was asked for his thoughts about party girl Lindsay, and said, "There's something there, right? But you have to like freckles. I've seen a... close-up of her chest and a lot of freckles. Are you into freckles?"
He then imagined sex with the teenager, stating, "She's probably deeply troubled and therefore great in bed. How come the deeply troubled women, you know, deeply, deeply troubled, they're always the best in bed?"
Curtis was appalled by the audio and took to Instagram on Friday (14Oct16) to slam Trump for his lewd remarks, reminding the businessman he's running for U.S. President.
The actress shared a throwback photo of herself with her Freaky Friday co-star and quoted the Republican's 2004 conversation with Stern, captioning the post: "I am appalled. Lindsay needed help and guidance. Not your gross, lecherous, lewd commentary. YOU are the Republican nominee for the Presidency."
Lohan's representative has also spoken out about the unearthed radio chat, telling CNN, "Right now, Lindsay is choosing to focus on the positive things happening in her life and has decided to disregard the comments made about her by presidential nominee Donald Trump. She is focusing on helping children around the world in need and that's where her passion is."
The actress has been visiting refugee families in Turkey in recent weeks, and this week has been promoting a new nightclub named after her, which opens in Athens, Greece on Saturday (15Oct16).
Jamie Lee wasn't the only Hollywood actress slamming Trump on Friday. Actress and Oscar-winner Marlee Matlin, who is deaf, posted a statement on Twitter on Friday, following revelations from three insiders on Donald's TV reality show, The Apprentice, that the businessman referred to the former contestant as "retarded" and "would make fun of her voice".
Matlin, a longtime advocate for the entire deaf community, denounced those comments and insisted her vote against Trump next month (Nov16) would be her revenge.
"As a person who is Deaf, as a woman, as a mom, as a wife, as an actor, I have a voice and I'm using that voice to make myself heard... and vote," she tweeted.
