Jenni to cover for mum-to-be Holly
Jenni Falconer is to step in as a co-host of ITV1's This Morning when Holly Willoughby heads off on maternity leave.
The former GMTV presenter will team up with Phillip Schofield on the programme after Holly bows out on April 14.
Also sharing the duties will be Ruth Langsford, who already fronts the show on Fridays with husband Eamonn Holmes. She will host for the first three weeks, while Jenni will step in for the next three.
Falconer said: "I have been a fan of This Morning since it first aired back in 1988, so to work on the programme is a real pleasure.
"Not only do I get to co-present a show I watch religiously but I also get to work with one of my all-time favourite presenters, Schofe. I cannot wait."
Holly, a regular presenter since September 2009, is expecting her second child with husband Dan Baldwin.
She said she would miss the show and her colleagues.
"I'll of course be watching during my time off and I know my replacements will do a fantastic job," she said.
Ruth said: "Those final weeks of pregnancy are exhausting so hopefully Holly can relax with a cuppa with her feet up watching This Morning rather than presenting it."
