Jessica Shears and Dom Lever will start baby-making next year
Jess Shears and Dom Lever want their own reality show spin-off.
Love Island couple Jessica Shears and Dom Lever are so happy in their relationship they are planning to start trying for a baby next year (18).
The pair have faced their fair share of troubles both on and off the show, with claims that Jessica, who goes by the nickname Jess, slept with Love Island housemate Mike Thalassitis while Dom was still in the Mallorcan villa. However, she has always strenuously denied the claims, and she and Dom got their romance back on track once he was voted off the show.
Now Jess and Dom are so happy with each other that they are already thinking about starting a family.
"We are planning to have kids ASAP. Honestly I just want them now, I’m game," Dom told The Sun newspaper. "Jess keeps reminding me I’m almost 30 and need to be a dad soon."
Jess smiled and added: "I keep telling him that if he doesn’t have children now, he’s going to be this age when they leave school which means he won’t be able to retire and I put it all out on the time scale.
"We both really want kids, we love them."
Before children, the pair want to pledge their love for one another by getting engaged. And Dom insists it's just "a matter of time" before he pops the question.
"We have talked about engagement and it’s a progression," he said coyly. "It’s definitely something we are thinking about – when you know you know don’t you. It’s only a matter of time."
The prospect of marriage would also make a good topic for a reality series spin-off, with the couple hoping to follow in the footsteps of Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes by landing their own show.
Jess added that the pair's frequent arguments would make for good television.
"We would love to do a series," she grinned. "There would be so much bickering and play fighting – he’s the biggest wind-up merchant you’ve ever met.
"He bugs me for the fun of it and we end up having these play flights –like I tore my toe nail off the other day."
