John Cusack's extra treat for Belfast fans

By Noel McAdam

Tickets to see Hollywood star John Cusack in Belfast sold out in three hours.

But fans will still have a chance to catch the actor who is coming to receive a special achievement award at Belfast Film Festival.

Apart from an 'In Conversation' event at Movie House, the actor, writer and producer has agreed to take part in two Q&A sessions.

They will follow screenings of two of his most popular films, Max at Strand Arts Centre and High Fidelity at Queen's Film Theatre, on April 1.

Festival director Michele Devlin said he was greatly encouraged by the response.

"We knew the 'In Conversation' event would sell out quickly, but we have been overwhelmed by the positive comments on social media about his visit, and just how much love there is for John Cusack out there!

"So we are thrilled that John has agreed to take part in these extra Q&A sessions."
