John Leslie 'gets cold feet' ahead of Celebrity Big Brother - report
'Human Ken Doll' Rodrigo Alves is also said to have pulled out of the upcoming series.
John Leslie has reportedly pulled out of his upcoming stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
The former Blue Peter presenter was one of the famous faces due to be entering the house when the new series of the Channel 5 programme kicks off next Tuesday (01Aug17).
He was reportedly offered £60,000 to appear on the series - one of the biggest fees ever - but his nerves have now got the better of him, according to the Daily Star Online.
"He got cold feet. But he might appear on another series in the future," a source told the publication.
Ex This Morning host John is said to have been hoping his appearance on Celebrity Big Brother could have revived his flagging television career. Producers are thought to have been hoping the 52-year-old may have brought up some of his life's scandals, including when he was wrongly linked to the alleged rape of Swedish television star Ulrika Johnsson.
Celebrity Big Brother bosses were dealt a double blow on Wednesday when ‘Human Ken Doll’ Rodrigo Alves also allegedly pulled out of the show.
The 33-year-old, who is famous for the amount of plastic surgery he has had, is said to have decided against appearing on the reality series in favour of having his tenth nose job.
He told OK! online of the surgery that it is not cosmetic but is needed for his health, adding: "I will be undergoing very painful and risky surgery to try to correct my breathing.
"I don’t want to have another nose operation, but I have no choice."
Other names linked to the new series of Celebrity Big Brother include The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks, X Factor finalist Amelia Lily and former EastEnders star Shaun Williamson.
