Kanye and Kim give media slip ...on bikes
The hunt for Kimye is on the move – but the newlywed superstars have so far managed to stay one day ahead of the media posse that is hot on their trail.
Yesterday, the search moved from Co Limerick to Co Kerry and no luxury hotel or manor was beyond scrutiny.
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her new husband, rapper Kanye West, flew into Cork Airport by private jet on Sunday and spent the first night of their Irish honeymoon in the exclusive Castle Oliver in Ardpatrick, Co Limerick.
It is now believed that a fleet of limousines which greeted the couple was a diversion to ensure any media members nearby wouldn't trail them.
It is understood that the pair joined a group that took in a mountain biking trail in the Ballyhoura Mountains on Tuesday.
A group of six VIPs enjoyed mountain biking and hiking with Ballyhoura Failte, the local tourism organisation in Kilfinane, Co Limerick.
Manager of Ballyhoura Failte, Fergal Somers, confirmed that the booking was for six and included a couple.
But according to the guide, some in the group appeared to be security.
"We were not told who they were except that they were Americans staying in a local residence," Mr Somers said.
"One of them had visited before after doing a concert in the Marquee in Cork."
The VIP group took in the Blackrock Loop and the Ballyhoura Way.
Mr Somers said they had specifically asked for discretion and the tourism company endeavoured to satisfy this.
