Karen Barber not returning as Dancing On Ice judge after panel shake-up - report
Jason Gardiner will reportedly join Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill on the Dancing On Ice panel when the show returns in 2018.
Karen Barber has reportedly been left off the judging panel for the upcoming season of Dancing on Ice.
The 56-year-old former Olympic skater, who is in a relationship with the newly-announced head judge on the show Christopher Dean, has apparently been excluded from any potential comeback discussions with programme bosses.
And the claims come after The Sun also reported that Jason Gardiner, the show's resident Mr. Nasty, has been invited back on the panel.
"It's likely to be a mix of old and new faces but it's unlikely at this stage that any of them will be Karen," a source told the newspaper.
And a friend of Karen's added: "Understandably Karen is disappointed to have not received a contract yet - she loves Dancing on Ice and is incredibly excited to see it returning to TV and of course she'd love to be part of it.
"It's a bit of a kick in the teeth for Karen to see Jason Gardiner invited back and not her."
Jason and Karen famously fell out on the show in 2011, when they disagreed over contestant Johnson Beharry's routine.
But Jason remained a popular figure with viewers, who loved to hate his tough criticism.
It is thought he will rejoin the panel alongside Christopher and former pro partner Jayne Torvill, who have moved from their former positions as coaches and mentors to head judges.
A representative for ITV also told The Sun: "We will be confirming our additional judges in due course."
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will be returning as hosts of the show when it returns to screens in 2018.
