Kate Hudson is in no hurry to wed Matt Bellamy, and hasn't even begun planning a wedding, her mother Goldie Hawn has revealed.
The 33-year-old Bride Wars actress began dating the Muse frontman - with whom she has a nine-month-old son Bingham - in spring 2010 and they announced their engagement in April 2011. Earlier this year it was rumoured they had wed in secret when Goldie referred to them as "married", but she later confirmed they were not officially husband and wife.
Goldie has now told Us Weekly magazine: "There's no prepping for a wedding. She's very happy. She's a great mom, the baby's beautiful, and they'll get married when they're ready."
The Overboard actress also talked about being a grandmother to Bingham and his half-brother Ryder, Kate's eight-year-old son from her first marriage to rocker Chris Robinson, 45.
Goldie said: "[I hope to teach them] to become as resilient as they can. We all get knocked down, but the measure of the man is how fast you get up. And I think that's what I'd really like to instil in the kids.
"We're all going to fail, we're all going to mess up, but it's not as much about that as it is learning from your mistakes and getting up real fast."
The 66-year-old actress - whose last film was The Banger Sisters in 2002 - also revealed she is looking at more acting projects.
Goldie, who launched The Hawn Foundation helping children do better in school in 2005, said: "I'm looking at a few things now. But these last 10 years, I've been so deeply focused on children and what we're doing to make this mission happen.
"It's a wonderful journey in my life. But I am looking at a few things now, so hopefully!"
