Katie Holmes heads to Broadway
Katie Holmes will be returning to the Broadway stage in her first major project since announcing her divorce from Tom Cruise.
The actress - who recently filed for divorce from Tom amid reports that she didn't want their daughter Suri raised in the Church of Scientology, which Tom follows - will star in Theresa Rebeck's Dead Accounts.
The five character comedy that will be directed by three-times Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien.
The play will open on Broadway this autumn at the Music Box Theatre. Dates and other casting news will be announced later.
The play will mark 33-year-old Katie's first return to Broadway since appearing in the 2008 production of All My Sons.
Earlier this month Katie and Tom, 50, reached a settlement in their divorce, although the details are not known.
