Kerridge cooks up UK favourites
Chef Tom Kerridge is to show viewers how to prepare top-notch versions of the nation's favourite dishes for a new BBC series.
The double Michelin-starred culinary guru is to tackle familiar meals such as lasagne and treacle tart in his six-part BBC Two series Best Ever Dishes.
He has previously shown the audience how to recreate pub grub in his most recent run of shows, screened last year.
For his new programmes he will cook for a crowd with the hope of persuading them to put in the extra effort for better results.
He said: "I'll be cooking some of the nation's favourite foods but putting my twist on them and visiting some interesting and passionate people comparing their version of a great dish to mine."
Alison Kirkham, who commissioned the series for the BBC, said: "Tom Kerridge stands out as one of the most successful new talent launches of the year. The audience immediately loved him and his unpretentious approach to cooking and eating."
