Law: I'm full of love for London

Jude Law has declared his love for his hometown, as he appeared on a US talk show.

The British actor, who was born, raised and lives in London, said he had rediscovered his affections for the capital after moving home.

"I love London, and I've been coming here to New York to visit. I haven't been here for a while," he told host Jon Stewart on The Daily Show.

"I love New York, but as a Londoner, I've fallen back in love with London. I've moved into a new house, we've finally got a bit of spring and it's beautiful."

Jude discussed some of the city's landmarks including the London Eye, the Shard and the Gherkin.

"It (the London Eye) is a huge addition. But like everything in London, that was built and put up for the Millennium," he said.

"Back then, (former Prime Minister Tony) Blair thought, 'OK, you've had your fun. Let's take it down', and the people went, 'This is kind of cool. We want to use this'. So that's very popular."

He added: "The Shard is about the most unfortunate name for a building in the world."

Jude's appearance on The Daily Show will be shown on Comedy Central Extra at midnight tonight (March 27).
