Les inspired by McKeith's fainting

Les Dennis has revealed he is taking inspiration from Gillian McKeith's fainting in the jungle, for his panto jokes this year.

Les, who will be starring as Wishy Washy in Aladdin at the Liverpool Empire over the festive season, has been enjoying watching the food expert on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and while he thinks she may have been overacting, he has found her inspirational.

He revealed: "I am watching I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and it's great material for our pantomime because I'm doing my Gillian McKeith already - I've got Gillian into the panto."

He added: "She might be [faking] just a bit. What I got was it was like a little dance step before she did it. It was brilliant, the little footwork ... and she looked for the ground thinking 'That's where I'm heading, I'll just find my little comfort space', and down she went."

Les is rooting for fellow comedian Dom Joly to win the show.

He said: "I think Dom Joly's great. I think he really is coming across very well. Even with Gillian, she really was getting him down so much and when he had to do the task with her he talked her though and he got her to change her attitude. I think he's really good."

Les will be starring in Aladdin at the Liverpool Empire, sponsored by Robinsons, from December 10, 2010 to January 2, 2011. Tickets are on sale now via
