Little Mix's Jesy Nelson a singer who has struggled with downsides to fame

By Staff Reporter

Curvy Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson (24) has suffered years of online abuse from vile Twitter trolls taunting her about her body.

During the girl group's triumphant X-Factor debut in 2011, Jesy was subjected to a campaign of hate and abuse - which reduced her to tears as the girl group powered their way to victory in the Simon Cowell talent show.

"When you've got your own insecurities and then people write them on websites for everyone to see, it just makes you feel really rubbish," the Romford singer told showbiz reporters.

"Kimberley in Girls Aloud always got picked on for being curvier than the others, so I knew I would, but it's not until you actually see it that it hits you.

"I thought I'd be alright and then I saw it and just burst out crying."

The curvaceous young star vowed to ignore the sick trolls, saying: "I'm a size 10/12.

"I know that I'm not fat. I'm not going to change.

"My mum told me to ignore it, so I'm going to!"

Jesy broke down in tears as she took a break during Little Mix's Dublin performance on Wednesday. Band members rushed to console her as she said she was feeling very emotional.
