Lomas thanks fans for baby support
Jamie Lomas has thanked friends and fans for their messages of support after his fiancee Kym Marsh gave birth to a baby girl.
Polly Lomas arrived around seven weeks early, weighing 4lb 1oz, following a natural birth at a Manchester hospital this week.
Delighted dad Jamie tweeted: "I just want to say, I am overwhelmed by your kind, thoughtful, beautiful messages of support, it means so so much, thank you guys."
He described newborn Polly as an "absolute belter" and said she was doing "well".
The 30-year-old Hollyoaks actor added: "Kym, really proud of you, go on Polly Lomas."
Corrie star Kym, 34, who already has two children - Emily, 13, and David, 15 - from a previous relationship, took early maternity leave from the soap.
The actress was devastated when her baby son Archie died when he was born 18 weeks early in 2009.
Kym and Jamie met on a train to a TV awards ceremony in London in 2007, and got together after her marriage to EastEnders actor Jack Ryder ended.
