Love Island's Dominic Lever denies Jess Shears engagement rumours

Engagement speculation began after Jess Shears made sure to flash a band on her ring finger as she headed into ITV studios to film an appearance on Love Island: Aftersun.

Love Island's Dominic Lever has denied he's engaged to Jess Shears after she flashed a band on her ring finger.

The busty brunette was only on the ITV2 show for a couple of weeks after making a late arrival to the villa but quickly hit it off with housemate Dominic.

And on Sunday (09Jul17), the glamour model ensured she put her left hand on display for waiting photographers as she headed into the ITV studios in London to film spin-off Aftersun alongside Dominic. However, he has since revealed they are not set to wed.

Appearing on This Morning on Monday (10Jul17), he told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, "She actually had that ring on in the villa. She wears that ring all the time."

When Phillip joked whether fellow evictee Mike Thalassitis gave it to her, Dominic quipped, "Nah, I'd have something to say about that!"

There were rumours Jess and Mike hooked up just hours after leaving the villa, though both stars have denied the claims.

While getting engaged may not be on the cards for Jess and Dominic right now, it seems all is well for the new couple, as he divulged to This Morning presenter Holly, "Being in the villa there's only so much you can accomplish and I feel like we did it all - other than being official.

"So now we've come out, obviously now we are official and see where it goes. We speak about everything in the villa."

He also insisted they haven't spoken about marriage yet, but admitted it could be a future discussion.

Yet, during their interview on Aftersun, the pair revealed they are buying a house together in Manchester after host Caroline Flack asked how they were going to make their long-distance love work, with Dominic based in the Northern city and Jess down in Devon.
