Luke Bryan offered seat on American Idol judging panel - report
Katy Perry signed a $25 million (£19 million) contract to join the show earlier this year.
Country singer Luke Bryan could be the second judge appointed as a panel regular behind Katy Perry on the American Idol reboot.
According to TMZ, the Strip It Down hitmaker has received an offer from bosses behind the TV competition to help choose the best singing talent alongside pop star Perry.
Details surrounding the amount of the proposal Luke has been presented with have not been confirmed, however, it is rumoured producers are willing to pay up to $6 million (£4.6 million) to secure hot talent on the panel for the upcoming season.
Katy will be receiving a whopping $25 million (£19 million) for her judging work after accepting the gig earlier this year (17) and Ryan Seacrest is returning to host the show for a reported $15 million (£11.6 million).
The Roar singer recently shared her dream picks for fellow judges, noting she would be over the moon if soul legend Lionel Richie joined her on the panel.
"I’m really pulling for Lionel, because I think Lionel is an icon," the singer said during an appearance on Ryan Seacrest's radio show in August (17).
"If you’ve ever seen or met Lionel, he just knows how to charm the whole room, and he’s such an artisan with words. His whole presence just brightens the whole room."
Katy also thinks Charlie Puth would be a good choice: "Between Lionel and me, it would be nice to have someone a little more fresh," she added.
The American Idol revival will broadcast across the U.S. next year (18).
