Lydia Bright misses out on place in The Jump final

Spencer Matthews, Louis Smith, Kadeena Cox, Emma Parker Bowles, Jason Robinson and Amy Willerton will compete in The Jump final next Sunday (12Mar17).

Lydia Bright missed out on a place in The Jump final on Sunday night (05Mar17).

The Only Way Is Essex star had been hoping to emerge victorious on the Channel 4 winter sports show, but fell at the final hurdle as she made her exit on Sunday's show.

After the news was announced, Lydia told host Davina McCall: "It's been the most amazing experience, I've made friends for life and I've overcome massive fears so that's all I can ask for."

She later took to Twitter and wrote: "Thanks so much for all your support", alongside a kissing face emoji.

Lydia's departure came after she and Kadeena Cox came last in the air jump competition earlier in the evening, meaning they were automatically put forward for the jump.

When Lydia and Emma Parker Bowles achieved exactly the same distance of 12.25 metres in the jump, Davina explained they would have to revert to the earlier air jump results to decide who was going home.

And as Lydia achieved the lowest height in that contest, it was the reality star who was sent home.

Lydia's departure leaves Kadeena, Emma, Spencer Matthews, Louis Smith, Jason Robinson and Amy Willerton competing in The Jump grand final next Sunday (12Mar17).

Olympic gymnast Louis looks likely to win the competition, after winning his third cowbell trophy on Sunday night. His odds of victory have been slashed from 8/11 to 4/6, with Aoife Heffron, spokeswoman for BoyleSports, explaining: "It’s very hard to see past Louis Smith, especially as he continues to collect cowbell trophies. (Louis) is now 4/6 from 8/11 and remains a liability in the book as punters agree he looks unstoppable."
