Madonna a no-show for son Rocco custody court battle
Madonna yesterday missed a court hearing over the future of her 15-year-old son because of touring commitments.
A lawyer told Mr Justice MacDonald the singer would "very much wish" to be at the hearing in the Family Division of the High Court in London but she was in Australia.
The judge was analysing the dispute over Rocco between Madonna and her ex-husband Guy Ritchie, the teenager's father.
Reports said that Madonna, who is in Australia as part of her Rebel Heart Tour, appeared at the Forum Theatre in Melbourne dressed as a clown.
Performing at a one-off gig called Tears of a Clown, she rode a child's tricycle onto the stage singing Stephen Sondheim's Send in the Clowns.
