Manchester United star Wayne Rooney has given fans a first glimpse of his new hair after undergoing a £30,000 follicle transplant.
The 25-year-old footballer posted a photograph of his newly-replenished 'do' via social networking site Twitter. The procedure is believed to have lasted eight hours in a London clinic.
After posting the photograph of his head yesterday, the sports star revealed he was experiencing a bit of pain after the operation.
Tweeting to more than 797,000 followers, he said: "Hi all there's my head. It will take a few months to grow. Still a bit bloody to. But that's all normal. #hairwego."
Last Thursday Rooney had been seen wearing a baseball cap and a hoodie despite the warm temperatures.
The striker later tweeted on Saturday: "Just to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25 why not. I'm delighted with the result."
