Mariah Carey posts sweet birthday tribute to her twins
Singer Mariah Carey has shared a sweet post dedicated to her son Moroccan and daughter Monroe.
Mariah Carey has shared a sweet throwback picture of her twins to mark their sixth birthday.
The One Sweet Day singer and her ex-husband Nick Cannon welcomed son Moroccan and daughter Monroe on 30 April, 2011.
To mark the milestone, Mariah took to Instagram on Sunday (30Apr17) to share a snap of her cradling the twins in her arms when they were still infants.
"I can't believe it's been six years since you two came into this world to the live version of Fantasy.. "the applause!!!" I love you both more each day. You are the light of my life #Supernatural #HappyBirthday#RocnRoe," she captioned the happy photo, with the hash tags referring to her nicknames for the duo, Roc and Roe.
Nick previously revealed that Mariah requested that the hospital where she gave birth was "shut down" and that a version of her 1995 song Fantasy was played in the delivery suite.
"Now my wife wanted to make sure that when the babies came out, that they came out not only to a Mariah Carey song, but a live performance from Mariah Carey - her Madison Square performance of 'Fantasy' - so they came out to a round of applause," he said during on The Gayle King Show in 2011.
Meanwhile, Nick has also posted a throwback photo to mark the twins' birthday. The rapper and TV presenter shared a snap of Moroccan and Monroe in their crib wearing matching beanies.
"Seems like I just took this picture the other day!! Somebody stop the time from flying by..." he wrote alongside the photo.
In spite of their split in 2014 after six years of marriage, Mariah and Nick remain on good terms and co-parent their children. The singer also recently uploaded photos of her and Nick reading stories to their twins together.
