Matt Baker: I may need an ambulance
Bookies' favourite Matt Baker says he might need an ambulance if his routine goes wrong in the Strictly Come Dancing final.
The former Blue Peter presenter is odds-on to win the hit BBC1 ballroom show and said a lot of credit was due to his partner Aliona Vilani, who has followed him around the country while he films Countryfile.
He said: "We've trained from here to the Outer Hebrides in the most ridiculous situations. It has been an incredible challenge for us. We have come up against an enormous amount."
He went on: "We've trained in barns, in community halls, in tiny little car parks, everywhere to make it happen every Saturday."
The energetic routines have taken their toll, with Aliona hurting herself in practice and having to take painkillers.
Matt, who will dance to The Bodyrockers hit I Like The Way You Move, said: "If things go wrong this week we may need an ambulance."
Kara Tointon and Artem Chigvintsev will dance to Queen's Don't Stop Me Now and Pamela Stephenson and partner James Jordan are performing to (I've Had) The Time Of My Life.
All three pairs spent today putting the final touches to their dances as the series climaxes on Saturday.
The final is on BBC1 on Saturday night at 7pm. The results show is screened later that evening at 9.05pm.
