McKeith takes the plunge for task

Gillian McKeith managed to overcome her fears and actually win meals for her I'm A Celebrity camp-mates by tackling a bushtucker trial.

The nutritionist has already refused challenges and collapsed live on TV earlier this week, prompting fellow contestants to accuse her of faking it to avoid the gruesome tasks.

But Gillian tackled her fear of water - heading under the surface for the first time in her life, she claimed - to win five stars.

The shrieking TV star has a number of phobias which she says have stopped her completing her tasks during her days in the jungle for the ITV1 show I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

For the latest task she had to team up with Dom Joly to tackle the "fisherman's fiend" challenge. The pair were shut into a giant lobster pot which slowly submerged in a tank of water and they had to delve into boxes of water critters to retrieve their stars.

The nutritionist had to tackle fish and crayfish while screaming. She told comedian Dom that her cries were "to make them go away". As she found herself waist deep, Gillian sobbed: "Oh my God I'm going to drown".

Bookies' favourite Stacey Solomon has been picked to take part in the next bushtucker trial, along with rapper Aggro Santos.

The two will face what hosts Ant and Dec called the "high wire walk from hell", when they will win stars by releasing balloons from a raised platform above the jungle.

Stacey laughed and rolled her eyes as she was told that she will face 'Super Scary-O', her second trial of the series.

Gillian, Alison Hammond and Britt Ekland were excluded from the public vote on medical grounds.
