Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's relationship takes big step forward with ring gift

Meghan Markle is proving her relationship with Britain's Prince Harry is more serious than ever, by refusing to remove a gold ring her royal beau gave her.
According to reports, the 35-year-old actress only removes the band, which she wears on her thumb, when she shoots scenes for U.S. TV show Suits, in which she plays lawyer Rachel Zane.
An insider on the set of the show told Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper: "It’s a gold band and Harry gave it to her about six weeks ago.
"She’s happily told people on set that it is from him and said it is a little too big so she is always careful not to lose sight of it."
It's not the first piece of jewellery Harry is said to have purchased for his girlfriend. He started the jewellery gifts with a blue and white bracelet, which Meghan wears on her left hand, while Harry has a matching one he wears on his right hand. He also bought her a Cartier Love bracelet, which costs $6,389 (£5,000) and is locked onto the wrist with a screwdriver, meaning it's a sign of commitment when someone purchases it for their partner.
"Meghan feels close to Harry when she wears jewellery from him and he is very keen on symbolic gestures," the insider added. "He has given all his girlfriends love tokens, especially bracelets. But giving Meghan a ring is quite a serious upgrade from beaded bracelets. Meghan takes it off for filming but rushes to put it back on afterwards.
"It is clear that the ring has a lot sentimental value and that she finds it very hard to be separated from Harry."
Meghan was photographed wearing the thumb band as she boarded an Air Canada flight to Toronto from Austin, Texas, recently.
