Mel B 'first choice' for X Factor
Mel B's withering put-downs on The X Factor have landed her an offer of a full-time job on the show next year, according to reports.
Viewers saw the ex-Spice Girl speak her mind as a guest judge, as thousands of hopefuls auditioned in front of her, Louis Walsh, Tulisa Contostavlos and Gary Barlow.
According to The Sun, TV bosses wanted Mel for this year's contest but signed Nicole Scherzinger because she was too busy filming the Australian version of the show.
A source was quoted as saying: "Mel was our first choice. She was so quick and honest. You can't let everyone down gently or the praise is meaningless.
"There's a lot of money on the table for her next year."
Mel recently flew back to Sydney from Prague, where she had been partying with friends, with a dressing on her left cheek after falling in her heels on Friday.
