Mike Thalassitis and Tyla Carr wave farewell to Love Island villa
Mike Thalassitis left the Love Island villa on the arm of a beautiful woman the second time around.
Mike Thalassitis was given his marching orders from the Love Island villa for the second time on Monday night (17Jul17).
The footballer originally caused friction between Olivia Attwood and Chris Hughes during his first stint on the ITV2 show. He then re-entered the luxury abode in the hope of finding love, and paired up with brunette beauty Tyla Carr.
However, given that Tyla was already disliked by viewers due to stealing Jonny Mitchell from the nation's sweetheart, Camilla Thurlow, it seemed unlikely that coupling up with Mike would be enough to save her.
And sure enough, on Monday night's episode of the programme, Tyla and Mike were seen being ditched from the island after coming last in the fan vote.
Despite being shown the door once again, Mike insisted he didn't have any regrets about giving the Love Island villa another try.
"I’m glad I went back in and that I got the chance, I never thought that would happen. Not in a million years," he told Metro.co.uk.
"I was in Ibiza at the time having a great time and having my own personal holiday and having a laugh to unwind a little bit, then I got the call and flew straight from Ibiza to do Love Island."
Meanwhile, Tyla also defended herself after being accused of faking her tears when former flame Jonny was ditched from the island. Montana Brown was among those criticising Tyla for being "over it" just one day later, but the model insisted she had been incredibly upset when Jonny had offered to leave instead of her.
"My tears were very genuine. That position I was put in hadn’t happened in the history of Love Island before and it was a very, very awkward situation to be put in," she explained to the outlet. "Like, having to decide between us which one of us was gonna leave and then one of us was going to sit back and let someone pack their bags and walk out the door, and that is never gonna be easy for anyone."
