Nadine Coyle doesn't speak with ex Girls Aloud bandmates

By Staff Reporter

Former Girls Aloud superstar Nadine Coyle has revealed how she now has little or no contact with her pop superstar ex-bandmates.

In a no-holds barred interview in the Sun on Sunday, the Londonderry-born singer revealed how she had always felt somehow isolated from the other girls in the group.

"There was always distance between us," Nadine told the newspaper.

"A lot of the dancers were my friends from very early on, so I'd be going out and finding the local gay bar, which meant that we distanced ourselves."

Asked about her current relationships with her former showbiz colleagues, she said: "I don't speak to them.

"I've not spoken to them in a long, long time.

"Sarah and I occasionally speak. Very occasionally. She phoned me before she went into Celebrity Big Brother and I was like, 'What are you doing?'. I worried about how they'd portray her. But that's it."

And she revealed she doesn't miss her Girls Aloud gang at all.

"They were great colleagues and we worked very well together for a long time. But I have great friends of my own," she said.

But despite the gulf that lies between the singers, Nadine doesn't rule out the possibility of a Girls Aloud reunion some time in the future - though she's not exactly enthusiastic.

"Would the others need more persuading?" she asked.

"Well, I wouldn't try and persuade them. If they want to do it, then let's do it - but if they don't, we'll not.

"It's okay. I'm fine either way."

But even if the reunion does happen, fans may have to wait at least until 2022, which will be the 20th anniversary of the formation of Girls Aloud.
